DealerTrack Names New Head of Inventory Optimization

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. — DealerTrack recently promoted one of its executives to the position of senior director and general manager of DealerTrack Inventory Optimization.

Rising into the position will be Bridget Townsend, who has been with the company since 2000.

Townsend's tenure with the company began with DealerTrack's Chrome Systems subsidiary, she held a variety of leadership roles. She also has served as senior director of engineering, product and client services at Chrome.

During the past nine years, Townsend has led the design, delivery and positioning of Chrome's Internet marketing and remarketing solutions for manufacturers, dealer service providers, advertising channels and financial institutions.

Furthermore, DealerTrack's leadership noted that she played an integral role in taking Chrome's services platform from inception to a business that conducts more than one million transactions per day. Townsend also helped to initiate the offering of 24-hour service and support to top technology providers in the industry.

"We are pleased to announce that Bridget Townsend will head DealerTrack Inventory Optimization, which we expect to play a significant role in the growth and further development of our performance suite," explained Raj Sundaram, senior vice president, solutions and services group at DealerTrack.

Mark O'Neil, chairman and chief executive officer of DealerTrack, further detailed the importance of the company segment Townsend will oversee and how she is qualified to handle the responsibility.

"Inventory Optimization is a key component of our comprehensive solutions suite for dealers and a primary focus of DealerTrack's longer-term growth strategy," O'Neil said.
