CARY, N.C. -- The Auto Remarketing Conferences Series unveiled plans to host two well-timed events this coming spring. The Used Car Manager Spring Training Conference will be held April 24-25, 2007; and the iRemarketing Conference will be held April 25-27, 2007. Both will take place at The Westin Westminster in Denver.

Designed to help dealers and managers reach their operational goals, the 2007 Used Car Manager Spring Training Conference will offer valuable "how to" workshops with an emphasis on maximizing the billions of dollars dealers will spend on Internet advertising and sales. Additional skills and training topics include sales management, desking skills, sales staff training for greater retention, inventory management, fundamental skills training and search engine optimization.

"According to recent industry studies by AutoTrader.com and Cars.com dealers nationwide spent $1.9 billion on Internet marketing in 2006 — more than twice what they spent in 2004. Projections for 2007 call for a 42-percent increase in these numbers for the new year," said Ron Smith, conference chairman, referring to data recently reported on AutoRemarketing.com.

"This is significant. Managers need to learn the skills, and be equipped with the tools necessary, to effectively use the Internet to sell more used cars. This conference offers many great trainers in one location and can provide that knowledge," he added.

A well-known staple of the used car industry, iRemarketing 2007 will directly follow the 2007 Used Car Manager Spring Training Conference. Hailed as the technology conference of the used car industry, iRemarketing 2007 follows the style set forth by its preceding conference — online trends.

"An understanding of technological advances is the key to achieving success in the remarketing industry. We plan to address the "next generation" of online opportunities and offer industry executives valuable insight into the ever-changing, and sometimes perplexing, tool called the Internet," said Bill Zadeits, conference co-chair.

Discussion panels and workshops will be the prevailing format, with conference topics including: maximizing next-generation technology to improve remarketing returns, solving the logistics challenge, transportation, creating an online wholesale buying and selling environment that results in a win for both consignors and dealers.

Early bird registration and group discounts are available through April 2, 2007.
