CARY, N.C. — The Auto Remarketing Conferences Series is seeing a surge in the number of industry experts signing on to participate during the 2007 Used Car Manager Spring Training Conference.

To date, leading trainers presenting include: David Kain of KainAutomotive.com on best practices with Internet advertising and sales; Howard Polirer from AutoTrader.com on understanding Internet advertising for the dealership; Marc Smith of Cardone Group on the newest and most effective desking skills; David Walsh of CenterOne on handling objections and closing the sale with confidence; Rob Cohen of Auto Advisory on compliance and legal issues on the sale of used cars; Mark Walsh of Mark Walsh International, on improving closing ratios and retaining gross; and Tony French of First Look on inventory management solutions.

Joining French and First Look on the inventory management session will be executive trainers from aaXchange, DealerTrack's DealerWire, Manheim Point and other industry leaders on inventory management.

Geared specifically toward dealers and managers, the 2007 Used Car Manager Spring Training Conference will be held from April 24-25, 2007, at The Westin Westminster in Westminster, Colo. (www.westindenverboulder.com). It will offer valuable "how to" workshops to assist dealerships in attaining their operational goals. Following recent industry trends, much of the conference training will focus on Internet advertising and sales.

"According to recent industry studies by AutoTrader.com and Cars.com — and reported on AutoRemarketing.com — dealers nationwide spent $1.9 billion on Internet marketing in 2006 — more than twice what they spent in 2004. Projections for 2007 call for a 42 percent increase in these numbers for the new year," said conference chair, Ron Smith.  "This is significant. Managers need to learn the skills, and be equipped with the tools necessary, to effectively use the Internet to sell more used cars. This conference offers many great trainers in one location and can provide that knowledge."

Additional skills and training topics include sales management, desking skills, sales staff training for greater retention, inventory management, fundamental skills training and search engine optimization.

Registration fees for the 2007 Used Car Manager Spring Training Conference are $395 per person. A special rate of $295 per person is available to additional managers from the same dealership.

Group discounts are available through April 2, 2007. To learn more, visit www.autoremarketingconferences.com, or call Jennifer Ingulli, events manager, at (800) 608-7500, ext. 135.
