MINNEAPOLIS — A dealership in the Bill Walsh Automotive Group derived a dramatic sales increase by its online department to the use of the marketing solution from Outsell.

Group officials said the dealership sales by its Internet division went from 17 units in December of last year to 84 vehicles this past March. They noted that they sold another 90 vehicles through its online portal in May.

"I told Outsell that I wanted to hit 50 units per month by our one-year anniversary," explained Bill Walsh Jr., of the Walsh Automotive Group.

"We hit 84 units in March, just four months into our agreement. Our new goal is 100 units per month by year's end," Walsh continued.

The sales growth led to Walsh enjoying a 114-percent increase in net profit generated by its Internet department. Officials said that amount of profit topped the previous best-ever month by 52 percent.

The group also mentioned that its agreement with Outsell helped the amount of visitors to BillWalsh.com increase by 77 percent. Page views also jumped 63 percent. Phone calls generated through the Web site also spiked 70 percent

Outsell officials mentioned that the dealership used its "Internet Express Lane Service," which can help customers complete a purchase in 30 minutes. Furthermore, the dealership used Outsell's tool that can send leads directly to the mobile phones of associates in the Internet department.

"Outsell is committed to integrating customizing processes to accommodate the specific needs of the dealer," said Mike Wethington, chief executive officer of Outsell.

"It's important that we not only meet our clients' needs but exceed them. We leverage proven strategies and industry exclusive buying data to improve their business and close more sales," Wethington concluded.
