INNISFIL, Ontario — North Toronto Auction announced that it has been awarded a share of the Province of Ontario vehicle-remarketing contract. The contract offers North Toronto Auction the ability to sell surplus vehicles at the weekly wholesale dealer auctions, in addition to monthly public auctions.
The five-year contract represents about 1,300 units annually. The vehicles will be dispatched from GTA-Central Ontario, Eastern Ontario, South-Western Ontario and North-Eastern Ontario.
Among the items that are being sold are passenger, enforcement and light commercial vehicles, in addition to small motorized and licensed equipment, medium and heavy trucks and construction equipment. Furthermore, large boats and miscellaneous small equipment will also be offered.
"The remarketing strategy that North Toronto Auction has planned will see Ontario vehicles being placed in the most appropriate auction to generate the maximum return," officials explained.
"In every venue the majority of province-owned vehicles will be available on the Internet through Autogavel, North Toronto Auctions live, secure online bidding process," executives added.
The inaugural Province of Ontario auction will be held Sept. 13.
"The Province of Ontario joins a long list of fleet operators, including regional governments, municipalities, Toronto Police Service, The City of Toronto and the Federal Government who have found North Toronto Auction is a viable remarketing point that is centrally located," the company highlighted.
North Toronto Auction is an owner-operated Canadian company that conducts weekly dealer only wholesale auctions every Thursday, along with a monthly public auction.
