ORLANDO, Fla. — ActivEngage has launched a new feature that can allow dealers and shoppers to instantly start a live chat session through e-mail and e-newsletters.
Basically, if a consumer reads an e-mail or e-newsletter from a dealer and has a question or concern, he can simply click on a link and be instantly connected to sales personnel through live chat.
"As a dealer, I want to make it as fast and easy as possible for customers to reach a professional dealership representative," stated Norman Dorf, vice president of D&C Honda. "We've had such great results from using live chat on the dealership Web site, I'm excited to be able to offer the same level of service in our dealership e-mail and newsletter.
"We've just recently begun using live chat in e-mail and our customers are already using the service to connect with us," he added.
In essence, it speeds up the response time between dealerships and shoppers.
"The most important aspect of the new launch is being able to instantly connect with customers in whatever medium you approach them," commented Ted Rubin, ActivEngage co-founder.
"Offering live chat in dealership e-mails helps push the conversation further and increases the level of customer service," Rubin added. "Now consumers can connect with you, from e-mail, to receive the instant gratification that only live chat offers."
