CARY, N.C. — Auto Remarketing Forum Series announced the keynote speaker, in addition to other exciting conference details, for its 2009 CPO Forum, the marquee event for the certified pre-owned industry.

Delivering this year's keynote address will be Joe Lescota, chair of automotive marketing at Northwood University. Lescota will present "The CPO advantage in the 2009 used car market" to open the CPO Forum, which is being held April 27-28 at the beautiful Wigwam Resort & Spa in sunny Phoenix.

This year's event will also feature the second annual CPO Dealers of the Year Awards program, which honors dealers across the country for excellence in their certified operations. The awards program includes a luncheon on April 27 and a reception later that evening.

Among the top CPO dealers in attendance will be Dave Romano of Romano Subaru in Syracuse, N.Y., and Carl Moyer of Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny, Iowa.

Another aspect of the CPO Forum that can help dealers boost their certified sales are the four dealer panels, which offer insights into how to take advantage of this growing segment of the market.

Specifically, the dealer panels will focus on Successful CPO Strategies & Best Practices — Luxury; Successful CPO Strategies & Best Practices — Non-Luxury; CPO Skills & Profit Solutions — Inventory Management; and CPO Skills & Profit Solutions — Advertising and Marketing.

Dealers can learn from their peers and experts in the industry on how to tackle challenges in each of these areas in order to make the most out of CPO sales.

Finally, CPO Forum will also include a host of various sessions and workshops from such industry leaders as J.D. Power and Associates, vAuto, Cars.com and AutoTrader.com.

"The 2009 CPO Forum is a must for any dealer looking to take advantage of this emerging segment of the used-car industry," commented Bill Zadeits, conference co-chair. "Especially in today's economic climate, certified sales are vitally important to the industry's health.

"CPO Forum 2009 can provide you with the necessary tools to get the most out of your certified operations," Zadeits added. "And we are more than thrilled to welcome these exciting speakers and presentations to our conference."
