FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Late yesterday, AutoNation's president Mike Maroone announced that his dealership group is now running a pilot program similar to Hyundai's Assurance program.

If a new- or used-vehicle buyer loses his job, the company will provide six months of payments up to $500 a month.
