SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Experian Automotive is presenting a free online seminar next week that will look at how shifting market share, government programs, orphaned brands, continued financial stress and other factors have impacted the auto market.

Officials said the seminar — which will be held at 2 p.m. EST on Jan. 20 — can provide auto industry decision-makers further insight into the trends that significantly affect their operations.

Specifically, the analysis will examine the third quarter of 2009.

By taking part in this workshop, Experian said attendees can:

—See how the past quarter's performance affected registrations and vehicles in operation.

—Understand where the shifts in manufacturer market share and consumer loyalty are taking place.

—Gain a unique perspective on how the Cash for Clunkers program affected consumer loyalty and, specifically, which types of consumers were drawn to participate in the program.
