Dealers now have another exclusive, direct avenue for acquiring used inventory, thanks to a new used-car sales program announced by Avis Budget Group.

The company introduced Avis Direct, which provides a dedicated website and gives dealers a means to purchase from a wide array of late-model, off-rental units from the Avis, Budget, Payless and Zipcar brands. There are also no enrollment or purchase feeds.

“As part of our ongoing strategic priority to drive efficiency throughout the organization, it is critical that we provide alternative distribution channels to dispose of our vehicles. After all, maximizing the financial return from our vehicle sales lowers our fleet costs,” said Michael Schmidt, senior vice president of fleet services, Avis Budget Group.

“We're proud to introduce Avis Direct and give dealers a direct, easy, fast and fee-free way to purchase our high-quality
vehicles,” he added.

Dealers can now buy Avis Budget cars are locations throughout the U.S. Also at dealers’ disposal are online photos, independent third-party condition reports and regional consultants to assist with the process.
