TORONTO -

Certified pre-owned sales remained consistent with trends seen throughout this year as the European OEMs once again recorded increases across the board, and one OEM has already reached above 2012 full-year sales results.

At Audi Canada, the company sold 415 CPO units last month, which marks a 17 percent increase over October 2012.

Year-to-date, this brings Audi Canada CPO sales to 4,299, which is a 20 percent increase over the same period last year.

With these results, 2013 CPO sales have now surpassed 2012’s full-year sales of 4,174, reported Elankum Vairavanathan, manager of incentives planning and certified pre-owned sales at Audi Canada

“October was another successful month for Audi Canada and its dealer network,” Vairavanathan added.

Volkswagen Canada also saw sales jump, with 1,235 CPO units bought in October. This was up from 1,132 sold in October of 2012, representing a 9.1 percent year-over-year increase.

Year-to-date, the manufacturer has sold 12,523 CPO units, up from 11,692 sold during the same period of 2012, which represents a 7.1 percent increase.  

Over at Volvo, the numbers were up slightly from September, but the biggest jump can be seen in the year-to-date numbers.

Emanuel Lichtinshtein, national fleet sales, CPO and remarketing manager at Volvo Cars of Canada Corp., reported Volvo Canada sold 128 CPO units this past month, up from 95 sold in September.

And year-to-date sales have reached 1,237 vehicles, marking a 13.4 percent increase over 2012.

Wrapping up the European brand results, the Mercedes-Benz Canada’s Pre-Owned division reported 1,194 retail deliveries throughout October.

A total of 11,425 CPO vehicles have been sold by dealerships year-to-date.

Mazda Canada’s new program continues to see rising sales numbers in the CPO program's second year.

Mazda Canada sold 445 CPO units this past month, up from 304 in October of 2012.

So far this year, the company has sold 4,485 CPO vehicles.

Lastly, Toyota Canada’s CPO program continued to see slight declines this past month, selling 1,752 vehicles, down from 1,904 sold in October 2012.

Year-to-date, it has sold 19,229 CPO vehicles, down from 21,252 sold during the same period of 2012.
