CARY, N.C. -

For a feature in the latest print edition of Auto Remarketing, Don Luke of Bill Luke Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat was asked how his dealership makes certified pre-owned vehicles and the CPO department stand out.

It boils down to strong training, branding and educating the customer properly, he said.

“We spend a lot of time training our staff on the benefits of CPOV, and they in turn explain this to our customers. Additionally, we brand all of our CPOV vehicles very clearly. This includes the CPOV designation as well as a seven-point ‘why buy,’” said Luke, the dealership’s president.

“Buyers are educated very early on about the benefits of purchasing a CPOV — this includes everything from the high quality of the vehicle to the service protection they receive with their purchase,” he continued. “It is also explained that this benefit is not limited to their purchase today but will continue in service after they leave the dealership.”

The dealership was by far Chrysler Group’s CPO sales leader, moving 1,520 certified vehicles in 2013.

It was also one of scores honored by Auto Remarketing as one of “The Best CPO Dealers in the USA.”
