Auto Remarketing officially announced its 2013 CPO Dealer of the Year presented by NCM Associates this morning, and taking home the fourth annual award will be Galpin Ford.

The North Hills, Calif. dealership has been the automaker’s top-selling certified pre-owned dealer for more than a decade, and is led by award-winning owner Bert Boeckmann. His extensive list of accolades include membership in the Automotive Hall of Fame and the 1985 TIME Magazine National Quality Dealer of the Year award, plus many other honors.

“It’s only fitting that Bert Boeckmann and Galpin Motors be recognized as Auto Remarketing’s CPO Dealer of the Year,” said Todd Fites, Ford’s national CPO sales manager.

Galpin Ford will be presented the award at 4 p.m. (PST) on Nov. 11 at CPO | The Pre-Owned Conference as part of Used Car Week.  Presenting the award will be Paul Stowe, director of consulting at NCM Associates.

In an interview with Auto Remarketing, Boeckmann said most of the used cars that Galpin Ford carries are certified, and talked about how the dealership has gotten so greatly involved with the CPO process.

“Since we carry cars that easily qualify for it … the vast majority of our cars would be CPO,” he said. “And it just moves wonderfully, and the customer is happy. He’s back here for service, as is required, or certainly warranty work if it’s needed. And the customer is thrilled, we’re thrilled. It works well and he’s got a better financing arrangement, if he’s financing the car, and a better warranty benefit, as well.”
