ATLANTA -

Janet Barnard has been named the new chief people officer of Cox Automotive, and Grace Huang has been chosen as the new president of Cox Automotive Inventory Solutions, which includes Manheim, among other brands.

Rock Anderson, who had been chief people officer, is retiring.

Both Barnard and Huang will move into their new roles Monday.

Barnard will report to Cox Automotive president Sandy Schwartz; Huang will report to Cox Automotive chief operating officer Mark O’Neil.

Barnard has been president of Inventory Solutions for the past three years. She had worked at Cox Communications before her time with Cox Automotive.

“Janet’s leadership style and passion for developing people are exactly what we need to further integrate Cox Automotive teams,” Schwartz said in a news release. “Her creativity, operational expertise and outstanding industry reputation will help us solidify our place as a destination for top talent.”

Huang was most recently senior vice president of Manheim Inventory Services. She has spent time as Cox Automotive’s vice president of enterprise product planning plus held senior director roles in corporate development at Cox Enterprises and corporate strategy for Cox Media Group.   

“Grace is the right leader to take on this important position as she’s been instrumental in the growth of Inventory Solutions,” said O’Neil, the Cox Automotive COO, in a news release. “She is a strategic thinker with an outstanding track record for executing initiatives that enhance our operations, team member engagement and client success.”
