ATLANTA -

Manheim has announced the promotions of two leaders into key roles, in what the company calls a move to position top talent to drive business strategy within its market operations.

Named as market vice president for Manheim’s Florida Market is Mark Ford, while Rich Coutu has been named market vice president for the North Central Market.

“Mark and Rich are proven leaders who can run an excellent operation while also building strong and lasting customer relationships,” said Tim Janego, regional vice president of operations-East. “Both are industry veterans who know a lot about what our customers need and can help us deliver.”

Ford, who has been with Manheim for 24 years, will lead the Florida Market’s nine Florida operating locations and one Puerto Rico location in his new role.

Ford previously served as market vice president for the North Central Market for more than two years, during which time the market had outstanding financial performances and added multiple new commercial and dealer accounts to their portfolio, the company said. Prior to his market vice president role, Ford was general manager at Manheim Ohio.

Coutu joins the North Central Market team from Manheim Financial Services, where he has been vice president of operations since 2012. He will lead the market’s six operating locations.

In his MFS role, Coutu was responsible for leading the firm through the merger and integration of MAFS, Manheim Credit and Collections, Export Trader, and Canada, company officials noted.

Prior to working with MFS, he served as vice president of operations and business development for Dealer Services Corp., which was acquired by Manheim in 2012.

At DSC, Coutu’s roles also included vice president of sales and business development, regional vice president and general manager for the New England market. Prior to DSC, he worked for eight years with Enterprise Rent-A-Car Co. of Boston.
