ROCKLEIGH, N.J. — Volvo Cars of North America has rolled out its redesigned Web site, which includes a community section that builds on the automaker's social-media footprint.

Volvo enthusiasts can share experiences and stories with one another through the community section, which also houses the company's blog, www.volvoblog.us.

Volvo insider Dan Johnston writes the blog, which began in November 2008. At that time, it was titled TheCarThatStopsItself.com and was used for promoting the Volvo XC60 crossover as well as the "From Sweden with Lov" tour.

Since then, it has been utilized to discuss Volvo's lineup, people and philosophy, and now there will be guest contributors who will shed some light on Volvo's "commitment to safety, the environment and quality of life."

In addition to this blog, Volvo also has a social-media presence through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.
