SONOMA, Calif. and NAPERVILLE, Ill. -

In an effort to promote awareness regarding its fight against cancer, The AutoNation Give Love Drive Pink Tour made a scheduled visit to the Sonoma Raceway for the INDYCAR Grand Prix of Sonoma this past weekend.

AutoNation sponsored drivers, Andretti Autosport's 2014 Indy 500 Champion, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Meyer Shank Racing driver Jack Harvey, raced on Sunday and partnered with AutoNation to support its Drive Pink initiative.

Additionally, the Give Love Drive Pink Tour furthers a newly established partnership with Andy Grammer. As part of the multi-platinum pop artist and record producers’ partnership, he is a sponsor of The Good Parts Tour Driven by AutoNation.

The next AutoNation Give Love Drive Pink Tour stop will also be in California at the San Diego Padres Game on Wednesday, followed by a visit to Las Vegas on Sept. 21 for the iHeart Radio Music Festival.

The AutoNation Drive Pink initiative has collected over $14 million for cancer-related charities nationwide, according to AutoNation.

Mercedes-Benz store named J.D. Power ‘dealer of excellence’

Meanwhile, the company also recently announced that Mercedes-Benz of Naperville has been certified through the J.D. Power Dealer of Excellence Program.

The program recognizes auto retailers across the country that have proven to be a place of business that can exceed customer expectations and deliver an outstanding customer service experience.

Dealerships must rank at the top of their respective brand's most recent J.D. Power U.S. Sales Satisfaction Index Study in order to qualify for the program.

“This certification sets us apart, especially coming from such an authority as J.D. Power,” AutoNation executive vice president of sales and chief operating officer Lance Iserman said in a news release. “This award parallels AutoNation's high expectations of providing excellent customer service with the high caliber Mercedes-Benz sets for each of their stores.”
