On Thursday afternoon at the NAAA/CAR/IARA event in Las Vegas, Avis Budget Group announced its 2013 Auction Performance Awards, joining several other remarketing players revealing annual awards this week.

Starting things off for Avis Budget, its Highest MMR Retention award went to Dealers Auto Auction of Oklahoma City, and its Volume Leader award went to  Manheim Nashville.

Manheim New Mexico was named Best New Auction, and Manheim Mississippi earned Most Improved Auction honors. The Best Performance Local Market award went to ADESA Golden Gate, and taking home the Technology Support/Process Improvement award was Alliance Inspection Management

ARI Announces Top Auctions

ARI named the winners of the 2013 ARI Regional Auctions of the Year award on Thursday, spotlighting auctions across seven regions of the U.S. based on their statistical performance and superior customer service in their handling of vehicles for ARI clients.

Its winners by region are as follows:

— Region 1: Manheim Harrisonburg Auto Auction

— Region 2: Columbus Fair Auto Auction

— Region 3: Manheim Lakeland Auto Auction

— Region 4: Morton Auto Auction

— Region 5: Houston Auto Auction

— Region 6:  ADESA Golden Gate Auto Auction

— Region 7:  Missouri Auto Auction

“The winning auctions demonstrated a strong commitment to ARI’s clients throughout the year,” said Brian Garner, ARI manager of vehicle remarketing. “All of our winners provided exceptional service and worked with us to build our brand and help our clients to maximize potential returns for their vehicles.”

Winners will be honored at a banquet at ARI headquarters later this year.

OVE.com Awards Ceremony

Manheim, in recognition of “the importance of independent auctions to its future business growth,” honored 10 independent auctions on Tuesday as part of the OVE.com Awards Ceremony.    

“It’s truly an honor to be able to recognize the accomplishments of these independent auctions,” says Peter Lavallee, vice president of industry solutions for Manheim. “We are a sales organization dedicated to supporting non-Manheim locations by leveraging OVE.com to sell products and services. We are here tonight to honor these auctions. We have many here that have won awards two to three times.”

— Highest Commercial and Deal Mix Volume: Columbus Fair Auto Auction

— Highest Commercial Volume Growth: Lubbock Auto Auction

— Highest Dealer Sales Volume Growth: America’s Auto Auction Austin/San Antonio

— Customer Experience: Southern Auto Auction

Santander’s Winners

Earlier this week, Santander Consumer USA announced the following auctions as its winners:

— Overall Auction of the Year: Manheim Detroit

— E-Commerce Auction of the Year: ADESA Concord

— Operational Auction of the Year: ADESA Charlotte

— Central Region Best Performer: Brasher’s Salt Lake City

— West Region Best Performer: ADESA Phoenix

— Northeast Region Best Performer: ABC Lancaster

— Midwest Region Best Performer: Manheim Detroit

— Auction Partner of the Year: ABC Auctions

Credit Acceptance/VRS Winners

Over at Credit Acceptance/VRS, Dealers Auto Auction of the Rockies won honored as the top auction in the nation for retention for the second straight year.

The company also honors its top auction among those selling less than 200 cars for the year. Winning the Credit Acceptance/VRS award this year was Manheim Seattle.

Although the company does not present an award for the following categories, Credit Acceptance/VRS does recognize the auction with the best retention in each of its four regions. Those were the following:

— Southwest/Central:  Dealers AA of the Rockies

— Midwest: Dealers Springfield AA

— West Coast: Manheim California

— Southeast: Carolina Auto Auction

— Northeast: Hartford-Springfield Auction Co-Op
