Consumers in three states can now visit several newly opened Avis car sales locations to shop for low-mileage vehicles.

Avis Car Rental announced Wednesday that it has expanded its Avis Car Sales program with additional locations across Florida, Texas and Massachusetts. The company explained that it now provides a direct-to-consumer model amid increased demand for former rental cars. A majority of the vehicles that Avis offers from its rental fleet are still under the original manufacturer’s warranty, according to the company.

“Trust is one of the most important factors for consumers buying a pre-owned vehicle,” senior vice president of fleet services at Avis Budget Group Gregg Nierenberg said in a news release. “Our vehicles not only pass through rigorous mechanical and safety tests, but they are backed by the trusted reputation of the Avis brand, so consumers can buy with confidence.”

Along with a 12-month or 12,0000-mile standard warranty, the company said no vehicle it lists for sale has been in an accident. Buyers can ask for a vehicle history report powered by AutoCheck and backed by Experian, according to the company.

In addition to Avis car sales retail locations, Avis vehicles are available for purchase via AvisCarSales.com, as well.

Additionally, in more than 35 states, Avis offers cars shoppers a free two-hour test drive session that can be extended up to three days for an additional rental rate cost.
