CARMEL, Ind. -

ADESA has made recent back-to-back appointments including a new executive sales director and two new California auction general managers.

The company announced that Rod Thompson, who most recently served as GM at ADESA Tulsa, will now manage ADESA’s commercial client relationships and leading commercial client efforts.

Meanwhile, Bobby Sylvester has been named GM of ADESA San Diego, and Henry Cadle has been named the head of ADESA San Jose.

“Rod is a true professional with high integrity and a strong work ethic who will fit in nicely with the national sales team,” ADESA vice president of sales John Combs said in a news release.

“Having worked at a dealership, an auction and in the powersports industry in sales, he brings a depth of knowledge and many very strong relationships with key commercial clients throughout the industry,”  said Combs.

According to the company, Sylvester joins ADESA San Diego from ADESA San Jose, where he has served as general manager since November.

Prior to taking on fleet/lease operations and management positions such as fleet/lease manager at ADESA Portland, Sylvester began working in the auction industry in 2000 with management positions in detail and body shops for Brasher’s.

Furthermore, Cadle, who now joins ADESA San Jose, most recently served as an ADESA UVA auctions sales manager.

In his new role, he will manage day-to-day operations at ADESA San Jose.

The company said that Cadle brings about two decades of automotive remarketing industry experience, which also includes time managing auctions in both Florida and California.

“It’s critical that we have the right leadership in place as we continue improving the customer experience so that each touchpoint is seamless, personalized and connected,” said Srisu Subrahmanyam, chief operating officer at ADESA. “Our customers and employees will benefit from the extensive experience and strong leadership that Bobby and Henry bring from all levels of the industry.”
