LAS VEGAS -

Carfax was a very busy company before and now during the National Automobile Dealers Association’s convention, renewing several deals involving OEM certified programs. The automakers involve include Toyota, Chrysler, Subaru, Acura and Honda.

For instance, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. has extended its partnership with Carfax for its Toyota Certified Used Vehicle program. According to management, Carfax Vehicle History Reports continue to be a key component in the TCUV certification process. Since 2005, Toyota has relied on Carfax Reports to verify the history of any Toyota or Scion vehicle submitted for certification.

Last year, Toyota once again led the industry in certified used vehicle sales, setting a new record of more than 331,000 vehicles. Carfax was made available to every TCUV customer and played an integral role in supplying detailed history reports on every vehicle sold, according to management.

“Carfax Vehicle History Reports provide tremendous value for both new and loyal Toyota customers,” said Tom DeLuise, national manager of TCUV/TRAC sales and operations. “The partnership with Carfax has been very successful for Toyota and our dealers, and we are pleased to continue the relationship.”

“Carfax is the name our customers trust for vehicle history information,” said Michael Ross, general manager at Palmiero Toyota in Meadville, Pa. “Carfax Vehicle History Reports are also the source that Toyota trusts for the Toyota Certified Used Vehicle program. That trust is why we use Carfax for our entire used vehicle operations.”

Chrysler

Continuing on, Chrysler Group and Carfax also announced that Carfax Vehicle History Reports will continue as the sole source of vehicle history information for the Chrysler Certified Pre-Owned program. Chrysler Group selected Carfax as its provider of choice in 2002.

“We use Carfax Reports on every trade-in and auction purchase in order to ensure we stock the very best vehicles,” said Brian Cosen, used car manager at West Herr Chrysler Jeep in Orchard Park, N.Y. “We use it to identify which vehicles we expect will meet Chrysler’s certification standards. Without Carfax, it would be difficult to pick the right cars and price them accordingly for quick sales.”

Subaru

Subaru of America, Inc. has named Carfax as its official provider of vehicle history information for the Subaru Certified Pre-Owned program. Since 2005, Subaru has required that every Subaru vehicle submitted for certification must have a Carfax Vehicle History Report. Under the renewed agreement, Carfax Reports continue to be one of the vital parts of the Subaru certification process.

“Subaru and Carfax are two strong brands that consumers trust,” said Richard Cvijanovich, owner of Subaru Superstore of Chandler in Arizona. “When a customer drives by our dealership, they know we are a Carfax Advantage Dealer. This helps further increase credibility to our clients, especially with our Certified Subaru vehicles.”

Every Acura vehicle submitted for certification must qualify for the Carfax Buyback Guarantee, in addition to meeting Acura’s stringent program guidelines.

“Carfax Vehicle History Reports are included with all our online listings because that’s what Certified Acura buyers want to see,” said Brijen Dave, general sales manager at Acura of Peoria in Arizona. “We have more opportunities to sell cars online because Carfax is built-in to the Acura certification program.”
