ATLANTA — Manheim announced this week that Toyota Financial Services and Lexus Financial Services enjoyed a record month in June using Manheim Online Event Sales. Specifically, the four open weekend events resulted in sales of 2,500 used Toyota and Lexus models.

In June 2009, there were 732 Toyota and Lexus units moved during the Online Event Sales.

"This record sales volume of wholesale vehicles really speaks to the desirability of the brands and the power of Manheim's online sales channels," stated Ralph Fisco, national remarketing manager at Toyota Financial Services. "Our Online Event Sales continue to deliver consistently strong results and we expect this growth to continue in the coming months."

Officials also indicated that the average participation for the TFS and LFS Online Event Sales was 400 bidders. This helped to generate a 15-percent lift in the year-over-year sales percentage for Toyota and Lexus.

"Toyota and Lexus continue to be one of our most successful consignors because they exceed buyer expectations in every area," shared Nick Peluso, Manheim's senior vice president of customer management. "Their success is built upon consistency in every category, from offering and pricing to condition of the vehicles. TFS/LFS has focused on building buyer confidence and a solid seller reputation."

Starting today and running through Monday, Toyota and Lexus are holding a Fourth of July Weekend Online Event Sale via manheim.com under the umbrella of Manheim's "Revolutionary Sales Weekend."

There will be 16 Apple iPads given out.
