WESTCHESTER, Ill. -

Insurance Auto Auctions announced Tuesday the relocation of its Saco, Maine, facility to a larger site in Gorham, Maine.

The move more than doubles IAA’s capacity in the region, according to the company.

The KAR Auction Services’ subsidiary’s new Gorham facility is located at 9 Moody Drive and “demonstrates the company’s strategic vision of growth and expansion,” noted company officials.

Also offering his opinion on the recent move, Tom O’Brien, IAA chief executive officer, said, “IAA will continue to evaluate opportunities to open and acquire new sites in selected markets in order to effectively leverage our sales and marketing capabilities and expand our geographic presence.

“As we relocate from our Saco, Maine, facility to our new Gorham, Maine, auction facility, customers can expect the same great service and additional capacity to service Portland and the surrounding communities,” he further stressed.

Moreover, the relocation —which also resulted in a significant expansion for IAA — will provide  buyers with “even more choices when it comes to the number of salvage vehicles to bid on and buy,” the company emphasized.

IAA auction preview dates and times vary for each facility, so those interested may call the Gorham branch at 207-283-1141, or visit IAA’s Branch Information page at www.iaai.com.
