JERSEY CITY, N.J. -

The New Jersey State Auto Auction revealed recently that it has been tapped as an AskPatty.com Certified Female Friendly location, and the public auction has also teamed with AskPatty.com to roll out a micro-site that specializes in providing auto resources for women.

To earn the certification from AskPatty, auction employees had to go through rigorous training on properly serving female customers. Employees will continue their education on female-friendliness with year-round training on how to best treat women customers.

The auction will also be provided with a marketing support program that will help them connect with female customers and develop loyalty.

Describing the micro-site in more detail, officials noted female customers can use it to schedule service appointments as well as find coupons and discounts. The micro-site is also designed to teach them more about vehicle purchasing and maintenance.

It can be accessed via www.askpatty.com or www.njstateauto.com.

“We have always been proud of the personal service we provide here,” stated Laszlo Ember, the auction’s general manager. “We realize it is very important for us to address the specific needs of the female consumer, who are a large and growing portion of the used car market.”

AskPatty.com chief executive officer Jody DeVere added: “Women influence 85 percent of the buying decisions in North American households, effectively becoming the family’s chief purchasing officer.

“AskPatty trains and certifies automotive businesses on how to communicate more effectively with women and ensure they feel safe, respected and empowered, which creates tremendous customer loyalty,” she continued. “The New Jersey State Auto Auction’s commitment to women shows that management is serious about earning their business."
