NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -

Ford hopes its Western region franchise dealers benefit from another campaign not only meant to promote the 2011 Fiesta but also undiscovered musical talent.

The promotion called “Gimme the Gig” is branded as a multimedia campaign integrating experiential, social and digital interactions while building awareness around the Fiesta. Unsigned musicians throughout the U.S. are currently able to submit performance videos to the Gimme the Gig website where fans can watch and vote on their favorite acts.

Tom Grill, the Western region sales and marketing manager at Ford, recruited the talents of Grammy Award-winning producer Don Was to orchestrate the campaign. Also included is what’s being billed as the Ford Fiesta Lounge Tour where performances are being held throughout the areas where these OEM dealers are located, including the Northwest as well as southern and northern California.

Music enthusiasts can learn more about the Fiesta as well as register for prizes and vote for the artists who will compete during the Gimme the Gig finale in Los Angeles.

Voting runs through Nov. 30 at www.gimmethegig.com. The campaign also has a presence on Facebook at www.facebook.com/gimmethegigfiesta.
