OKLAHOMA CITY -

Ally Financial is working with an Oklahoma City dealership group and regional chapter of the Operation Homefront non-profit to spread some holiday cheer and honor local military families. Ally, Hudiburg Auto Group and Operation Homefront will team up for an event where the children of active duty and National Guard military personnel in the state will receive bicycles as holiday gifts.

The event runs from 5 p.m. (CT) to 7 p.m. at The Reed Center in Midwest City, Okla., on Tuesday of this week.

There will be 100 tickets given out (one for each family), which can be redeemed for a bike. The Hudiburg team will build the bikes, which will be ready in time for the holidays.

Participants can register at the Hudiburg/Ally booth at the event to note bike sizes and colors.

“The men and women that serve our country make sacrifices for those of us at home on a daily basis,” said Mike Kimmel, regional vice president at Ally Financial. “It’s an honor to team with Hudiburg Auto Group and show our gratitude in the form of holiday gifts for these deserving families."

David Hudiburg, president of the dealer group, said: “At Hudiburg Auto Group, it’s important to us to give back to our fellow Oklahomans, especially the military families who give up so much for us.

“We are excited to work with Ally Financial and Operation Homefront for a second year to help provide a happier holiday to these children,” he added.

Last year, Ally, Hudiburg and Operation Homefront ran a similar event, where they handed out holiday gifts and holiday meal gift cards to 30 local military families.

“It’s great to make the holidays bright for families of our Active Duty and National Guard personnel who do so much for our country,” said Operation Homefront Oklahoma and Arkansas executive director Carol Herricks. “We’re delighted for the support of Ally Financial and Hudiburg Automotive Group to provide gifts for these exceptional families and help ensure that their holiday is a joyous one.”
