In addition to reporting that June was the third-strongest certified pre-owned sales month in history — capping off the best quarter ever for the CPO market — Autodata Corp. also found that Ford, Hyundai, Kia and Subaru achieved best-ever sales records during June, as well.

Starting with Hyundai, it moved 6,775 units for a 7.5-percent year-over-year uptick. First-half CPO sales for the company reached 37,423 units for a 12.9-percent hike compared to the same period of 2012.

At Ford, its brands combined to move 21,385 certified vehicles for June (up 36.8 percent), pushing the year-to-date figure to 111,224 sales (up 35.3 percent).

Breaking those figures down, Ford/Mercury CPO sales hit 19,443 units in June, with year-to-date sales at 100,583. For Lincoln, there were 1,942 CPO sales last month, with first-half sales hitting 10,641 units.

Kia sold 2,976 CPO units in June (up 80.4 percent year-over-year) and pushed its year-to-date sales to 15,466 vehicles
(up 78.9 percent).

Subaru’s record month included 3,200 certified sales (up 46.1 percent), lifting the first-half sum to 16,725 units (up 42 percent).

At Volkswagen, its 8,689 CPO sales marked its strongest June ever and a 21.4-percent year-over-year hike.   June was also the brand’s third-best month ever.

In the first half of the year, VW moved 49,746 CPO units for a 14.3-percent gain.

Mazda sold 3,321 CPO units in June, up from 2,011 certified sales in June 2012. At the year’s midpoint, Mazda’s CPO sales were up 17,943 units, compared to 11,501 sales in the first six months of 2012.

Next up, Toyota sold 32,372 certified vehicles in June (up 12.5 percent) and 184,951 units in the first half of 2013 (up 12.8 percent).

Lexus reported 6,317 certified sales for last month, compared to 5,954 sales in June 2012.   In the first six months of 2013, Lexus has notched 36,450 CPO sales, versus 34,926 in the year-ago time frame.

Certified sales for the Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Pontiac and Saturn brands in June reached 30,574 units for a 26.9-percent gain, with year-to-date sales hitting 171,567 units for a 19.9-percent uptick.

Cadillac CPO sales were at 1,641 units for June (up 25.8 percent), and first-half sales totaled 9,581 certified vehicles (up 9.9 percent).

Next up, Chrysler’s brands combined to move 10,371 CPO units for June (up 1.8 percent) and 60,700 units in the first six months of the year (up 3.5 percent).

The aforementioned results for Chrysler Group do not include Fiat, which moved 27 certified vehicles in June and 129 in the first half.

At Honda, the Acura division posted 3,607 CPO sales in June (down 9.2 percent), with the Honda division selling 22,363 CPO units (down 1.1 percent). Year-to-date sales were at 123,516 vehicles for Honda (up 0.7 percent) and 20,657 units for Acura (down 5 percent).

Nissan’s June certified sales (10,161 units) were up 3.5 percent year-over-year, with Infiniti posting 982 CPO sales (down 8.3 percent). Year-to-date, Nissan had moved 57,283 units (up 9.1 percent), and Infiniti’s first-half sales were at 5,601 units (down 15.5 percent).

Over at Mercedes-Benz, there were 7,773 CPO sales (including the Smart brand), up 17.9 percent year-over-year. Year-to-date sales are at 49,004 vehicles, marking a 24.3-percent hike.

BMW’s certified sales came in at 6,463 units for June (up 2.7 percent) and 40,278 units through six months (up 7.3 percent).

For the Mini division, CPO sales came in at 584 for June (up 100 percent) and reached 3,100 for the first half (up 113.2 percent).

At Audi, it moved 3,399 certified vehicles in June (up 1.6 percent) and 19,185 units for the first half (up 4.6 percent).

Volvo sold 860 CPO vehicles in June (down 18.8 percent) and 5,532 in the first two quarters (down 6.7 percent).

Porsche’s certified sales for the month came in at 720 units (down 13.4 percent), and its yearly sales through June were at 4,770 units (down 1.7 percent).

Jaguar sold 301 CPO vehicles in June (up 15.3 percent) and 1,736 units in the first half (up 4.8 percent). Land Rover moved 493 CPO units for the month (down 17.3 percent) and 3,104 for the opening two quarters (down 4.2 percent).

Mitsubishi sold 48 certified vehicles in June and had moved 332 CPO cars year-to-date. Maserati sold 30 in June and 211 year-to-date. Bentley was estimated to have sold 30 for the month.
