FAIRFAX, Va. -

Sheehy Auto Stores announced Friday that its dealerships in the Washington, D.C. area, Baltimore and Richmond, Va., raised $150,000 for 22 local charities as part of Sheehy's annual giving program.

The company said that each of its dealerships partnered with local non-profit organizations to give both time and money.

In addition to the total $75,000 Washington, D.C. area charities received, Sheehy dealerships gave Baltimore and Richmond, Va., nonprofits $50,000 and $25,000, respectively.

"Giving back to the community has always been an integral pillar of Sheehy Auto Stores," Sheehy Auto Stores president Vince Sheehy said in a news release. "Our employees and family of dealerships do much throughout the year in donating time and money for a variety of charities.  As a company, we are pleased to continue our annual end of the year giving campaign that supports a wide array of community causes."
