SANTA MONICA, Calif. -

TrueCar Inc. and the American Automobile Association renewed their agreement to continue to allow TrueCar to run AAA’s auto-buying program. The three-year agreement will continue to grant access to TrueCar’s haggle-free car-buying program for the more than 30 million AAA members.

Scott Painter, TrueCar’s founder and chief executive officer, looks forward to continuing its partnerships that allow mutual customers to save an average of $3,000 off of MSRP.

“We founded TrueCar to help the members of our affinity partners get fair deals on vehicle purchases,” Painter said. “Over the course of our relationship with AAA, its members have saved more than $100 million off MSRP through the auto-buying program. That’s a pretty astounding number, and we are honored that AAA has chosen to endorse TrueCar and again selected us to power its proven auto-buying program. We’re looking forward to the continued success of our partnership.”

TrueCar says it currently reaches 75 percent of U.S. households through its affinity partners, collectively saving customers $3 billion off of MSRP via the purchase of over 1 million vehicles through its service.
