RICHMOND, Va. -

CarLotz will be continuing growth in the Southeast with its first hub opening in Mobile, Ala., later this year. The hub will be located at 3016 Government Blvd. in Mobile.

The company said that its entry into Alabama, as well as its multiple locations in Florida, are a "significant step" toward making its goal of creating the best used-vehicle buying and selling experience for its customers a reality.

"We are thrilled to announce our entry into the great state of Alabama," said Michael Bor, co-founder and chief executive officer of CarLotz, in a media announcement today sharing the news about CarLotz' sforay into Alabama. "With our first Georgia hub opening later this month, we are ramping up our growth in the Southeast and look forward to welcoming guests to our new hubs where they will have easy access to the exceptional service, real value and diverse inventory CarLotz provides."

The company has a unique consignment model, in that its sales coaches are non-commissioned, and prices are haggle-free.

CarLotz has continued its rapid expansion, now offering its services to customers in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Washington State as well as Alabama, Georgia and Nevada (all three of the latter coming soon).

In August alone, the company opened a hub in the St. Louis area, its third location in the Midwest. And it also shared it will be opening its first hub in Louisiana.  Three additional expansion announcements were shared in July, as well.
