ATLANTA -

CarLingo, an online car-shopping resource, has announced a few additional functions to its site designed to help consumers throughout the shopping process.

Having already provided tools to help consumers select a car and get guidance on price, CarLingo has added sections to help consumers with trade-ins, monthly payments and dealership selection.

In its news announcement on Friday, CarLingo said its intention is to “help a consumer through the shopping process, no matter where they are and what questions they're facing.  For dealers, CarLingo aims to hand off transact-ready new car buyers while protecting dealers' margins.”

Steve Greenfield, the company’s chief executive officer and founder, said: “Our research shows us the consumers are often confused and frustrated as they shop for and ultimately buy a new car.

He added: Consumers would be willing to pay an extra $626 to avoid negotiation, and an extra $568 to guarantee a face to face transaction of fewer than 60 minutes. This is additional margin that dealers should be able to capture.”

Greenfield talked with Auto Remarketing earlier this winter about the goals of CarLingo, its next steps and more.
