PHOENIX -

Carvana has brought on former Deutsche Bank Securities vice president Michael Levin as its vice president of investor relations, the online car retailer said Tuesday.

Levin headed up the automotive dealer equity research at Deutsche and has a decade of experience covering the auto and retail industries, including companies like Carvana.

“We've had the fortune of working with Michael in his previous role, and we’re excited he’s come aboard,” Carvana chief executive officer Ernie Garcia said in a news release. “His experience and know-how ensures he can build a world-class investor relations function within the company that matches the opportunity ahead of us, as well as the needs of our growing investor base."

In the role with Carvana, Levin will head up investor relations, a task that includes broadening and educating Carvana’s analyst and investor base.

“Having covered the entire automotive value chain – and in particular, the auto retailers over the past eight years — Carvana stood out as a unique innovator, attempting to breathe fresh air into a staid and unpleasant consumer experience,” Levin said. “I’m excited to apply my experience within a fast growing company and believe there’s a number of exciting opportunities ahead.”
