ATLANTA -

Autotrader said Tuesday it looked  at the wide range of technology available in 2017 model-year vehicles and picked seven favorites to include on its Must-Have Automotive Technology for 2017 list.

"What once seemed like something only for 'The Jetsons' is quickly becoming everyday reality in the automotive landscape," said Brian Moody, executive editor for Autotrader.  "And it's not just vehicles with a high price-point; now many mainstream family cars are equipped with technology features only seen on top-of-the-line luxury vehicles just a few short years ago."

The online marketplace said customers should embrace the conveniences and safety features put forth by new technology, but more importantly need to educate themselves about their vehicle’s innovation so they can fully understand both its capability and limits.

Of the several technology features available on 2017 vehicles, Autotrader recognizes advanced self-driving capabilities, adaptive suspension, autonomous safety features, car care apps, gesture control, large or multiple screens and electric drivetrain as the top technology on the market.
