HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. -

KosLo — an online service that lets consumers request vehicles, with participating dealers then bidding for their business — said Monday it has integrated Dealertrack’s Digital Retailing solution within its website.

The company said this will allow consumers to calculate realistic payments online and apply for financing from any device. It also brings a new audience to dealers working with KosLo.

The company was founded in 2014 and the soft launch of the website was in January.

Consumers can request new or used vehicles through KosLo by providing their preferred year, make, model, acceptable mileage, color, trim, interior features and price range.

Participating dealers can then bid on price if the requested vehicle is in their inventory. The bids are pushed through a proprietary algorithm and the top five are sent to the shopper.

Should the shopper select one of the five cars, the dealership with that car would follow up with the shopper directly to finalize the transaction.

With this integration, KosLo has brought in Dealertrack’s first-pencil monthly payment calculator as well as Dealertrack’s online credit application.

“We are excited to offer these services to our dealership partners,” Devin Koskan, founder and chief executive officer of KosLo, said in a news release. “Our system was designed to help dealers reduce the need for large marketing campaigns, while helping consumers find their ideal car at the ideal price. This partnership bolsters our ability to help dealerships by connecting them with consumers, while saving both the dealership and the consumer time and money.”

Lori Wittman, Dealertrack's senior vice president of F&I and CRM solutions, said: “Dealertrack's goal is to make the car buying process simpler, more transparent and more efficient for both the dealer and car shopper. By implementing our Digital Retailing solutions into KosLo's services, we are confident that Dealertrack will help enhance the auto shopping experience by creating more sales opportunities and helping consumers find what they are looking for in a vehicle.”
