The National Independent Automobile Dealers Association launched a program Thursday to assist members in becoming more efficient and profitable when buying vehicles at auction through a partnership with Auction Genius. 

The association indicated more than 300 dealers already have signed up for the service from Auction Genius. In addition to the 10-percent NIADA discount, Auction Genius also offers a 30-day risk-free trial.

NIADA vice president of member services Scott Lilja emphasized that independent dealers rely heavily on auctions to acquire inventory since their monthly profitability rests on the ability to buy vehicles at wholesale prices that allow a strong markup for a retail sale.  

“The Auction Genius program puts all the necessary modules for used-vehicle buyers on one simple screen and provides viewing access to live auctions, valuation guides and vehicle history reports,” Lilja highlighted.

“Additionally NIADA members get 10-percent off the standard Auction Genius monthly subscription rates,” he added.
