SANTA MONICA, Calif. -

TrueCar revealed Monday it has hired a new vice president of investor relations and administration.

Filling the VP role is Alison Sternberg, who will manage investor relations and serve as the conduit for all investor communication with TrueCar in the newly-created position, the company shared.

Moreover, she will also develop the company's administrative functions, working closely with TrueCar's administrative support team, as well as handle special projects.

"TrueCar's continued success is generating a lot of attention from current and prospective investors," said Scott Painter, founder and chief executive officer of TrueCar. "Alison is here to ensure that we are responsive, professional and accurate and that investors are hearing and understanding our great story. Alison's experience with investors at both big companies and start-ups is perfectly suited for this role."

Sternberg commented on her new role, as well, saying, "TrueCar is revolutionizing automotive retail to improve the car-buying experience for buyers and sellers.

"Investors have already taken notice of the company, and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to work with TrueCar's current and future investors to continue to keep the company moving forward,” she continued.

Sternberg was formerly chief of staff to the CEO at Modular Wind Energy.

Prior to that, she was the business unit manager for the Los Angeles private wealth business at Goldman Sachs after working two years with Heidrick & Struggles.

Sternberg also worked at Ares Management across a range of human capital, investor relations and administrative functions, officials said.

She also spent nine years at Goldman Sachs in New York.
