TUSTIN, Calif. -

AutoPacific has announced its list, the 2014 Ideal Vehicle Awards, to distinguish vehicles that “best meet their owner’s expectations and desires” based on consumer feedback.

According to the research firm, the most ideal popular brand of 2014 is GMC, while Porsche maintains the title of most ideal premium brand for the second year in a row. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette took the honors for the overall winner.

George Peterson, AutoPacific’s president, says that vehicle owners are looking for a consistently enjoyable experience throughout the entire ownership process.

“The vehicle buying and owning experience is often a love-hate relationship,” Peterson said. “Buyers purchase their vehicle for many reasons, including price, style, and lifestyle fit, but it’s often not until the vehicle is driven for a while that the little annoyances start to show themselves and people with things were a bit different.”
