Stemming from a three-month trend of average list prices of late-model vehicles dropping 4.1 percent, CarGurus pinpointed a dozen units where the retail price is down by 10 percent or more.

The highlighted units predominantly are from foreign OEMs with a quartet of domestic models included, too. The vehicles mentioned by CarGurus include:

“Used-car buyers who delayed a car purchase earlier this year due to high prices will be pleasantly surprised by how much has changed in recent months,” stated Langley Steinert, founder and chief executive officer of CarGurus.

“The key for year-end shoppers is to do ample online price research so they can move quickly when they find a great deal,” Steinert continued.

“We expect many of these great savings opportunities we have identified to be gone by early next year, when prices will climb back up,” he went on to say.

Analysts acknowledged the prices noted the chart below incorporate an average of thousands of listings reviewed by CarGurus, including models with different trims, mileage and options.
