CARMEL, Ind. -

Aimed at relieving dealer and auction staff stress on sale day, AutoTec’s AuctionACCESS and Automotive Finance Corp. announced they have aligned resources to offer credit-line availability and automated flooring capabilities directly to auctions via their auction management systems.

Both companies believe the solution can significantly increase auction staff efficiency and customer service with quicker dealer checkouts on sale day.

Officials pointed out Pittsburgh Independent Auto Auction, State Line Auto Auction and Carolina Auto Auction are among the first auctions to adopt this new functionality.

“AFC and AutoTec have developed a seamless solution that truly is a win-win for our auction and our dealer customers,” explained Dave Angelicchio, owner and general manager of Pittsburgh Independent Auto Auction.

“The system allows our staff to view a customer’s credit line availability and floor the car using one computer screen,” Angelicchio continued.

“This results in faster checkouts for our dealers and less time spent by my staff reconciling our sales,” he went on to say. “Our auction has experienced significant growth. Technology solutions such as the one AFC and AutoTec have developed help us better manage our resources to continue that growth while enabling us to provide an even higher level of service to our customers.”

AFC and AutoTec plan to continue enabling additional auctions with this capability.

“This new capability is easily enabled for auctions that subscribe to AuctionACCESS. Dealers making purchases at auctions using this new functionality will find it even easier to do business with both these auctions and with AFC,” explained Jay Bahel, vice president of strategic initiatives for AFC.
