Cox Automotive announced Wednesday that Jim Williams will replace Patrick Brennan as senior vice president of logistics for Inventory Solutions next month.

Brennan has been promoted to senior vice president of Inventory Solutions’ marketplace. Meanwhile, Williams will report to Grace Huang, president of Cox Automotive Inventory Solutions, effective March 1 .

He will be responsible for overseeing Manheim’s ready logistics and central dispatch in his new role.

“Jim’s proven track record of leading operations and teams through change will be invaluable as we launch enhanced systems and tools to improve efficiencies for logistics’ clients and team members,” Huang said in a news release announcing Williams’s hire. “Under Jim’s guidance, clients will continue to experience new and better ways to move and sell their vehicles faster while realizing added cost savings.” 

Williams joined Cox Automotive brand Manheim in 2014 as vice president of operations support.

For the past four years at Manheim, Cox Automotive said he successfully directed teams to prepare for and implement widespread, complex system and process changes.

Prior to joining Manheim, Williams was responsible for strategic development with premium retail services and held several senior sales and operations positions with Best Buy.
