KAR Auction Services has appointed a new vice president and associate general counsel.

Formerly a partner and chair of the business practice group at Indianapolis’ Krieg DeVault, Chuck Coleman takes the reigns for KAR as its newest vice president, associate general counsel and assistant secretary to its legal team.

Coleman will be responsible for organizing and managing the KAR legal team’s efforts in regards with its expanding merger and acquisition actions. He will also work to support the company’s general counsel in many areas, including corporate governance and securities compliance.
