ATLANTA -

Several of Manheim’s Northeastern locations from Philadelphia to Albany, N.Y., provided their time and support to various Ronald McDonald Houses in their areas over the summer.

More than 20 of the company’s members participated in the over-40-year heritage of the Ronald McDonald Houses, giving support to families of injured and ill children. The teams gathered together to help feed more than 100 parents, siblings and extended family members in Albany, Boston and Philadelphia via the service organization.

Tim Van Dam, the market vice president for Manheim’s Northeast Market sales team, was glad his employees could give back to their communities.

“I am so proud of our team’s efforts,” Van Dam said. “I am not sure our volunteers realize the impact they had on the families of serious ill and terminal children. These parents, siblings, grandparents and other family members are going through very rough times, so a meal and a smile can really brighten their day a little bit.”
