Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers has a two-day unreserved public auction on tap in Maryland later this month where it will have more than 440 lifting, aerial and general equipment items from United Rentals up for sale.

The sale is scheduled for March 26 and March 27.

The United Rentals equipment items — including things like scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, telescopic forklifts, among other pieces — will be offered on Day one of the sale.

The actual sale will be at Ritchie Bros. North East, Md. location, but the United Rentals items are housed at United Rentals locations in Kentucky, New Jersey and New York, as well as the North East Ritchie Bros. lot.

The auction will have no minimum bids or reserve prices. Bids can be made in person, by proxy or online via www.rbauction.com.

“The November auction was a great success and we found a formula that allows both local and international buyers to benefit,” said Kevin Parr, eastern regional vice president for United Rentals, referring to the Nov. 2 exclusive one-owner unreserved public auction sale Ritchie Bros. held for United Rentals.

Day one of the event is set to begin at 10 a.m. EST, and it will be a Virtual Ramp auction. Basically, items up for sale will be shown on a big screen. Some items can be bought in a Timed Auction format. 

Sharing what comprises day two of the sale, officials noted that it will include various construction and transportation equipment items from more than 150 sellers. It is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.Bidding can be done in-person, by proxy or via www.rbauction.com, or by proxy. Officials noted some items will be offered in a Timed Auction format.
