Among the many Top 10 lists Edmunds.com included in its first quarterly Used Car Market Report, the website highlighted the leading used models purchased at franchised dealerships as well as the most-researched units at its website during Q1.

So which used model was scooped up most by purchasers at franchised stores? It was the Honda Accord.

Edmunds.com listed the Top 10 used-vehicle purchases as follows:

1. Honda Accord
2. Honda Civic
3. Toyota Camry
4. Chevrolet Silverado 1500
5. Ford F-150
6. Nissan Altima
7. Toyota Corolla
8. Chevrolet Impala
9. Honda CR-V
10. BMW 3-Series

Not surprisingly, many of the top-selling used models were among the most-researched on Edmunds.com during the first quarter. That Top 10 list from Edmunds.com included:

1. Honda Civic
2. Honda Accord
3. BMW 3-Series
4. Toyota Camry
5. Ford F-150
6. Jeep Grand Cherokee
7. Honda CR-V
8. Toyota Corolla
9. Nissan Altima
10. Volkswagen Jetta

“The Top 10 most researched vehicles are typically dominated by economical vehicles. Trucks usually make both lists of their utility,” Edmunds.com analysts said. “The Civic moved up one spot on the purchased list, commensurate with its increased research by consumers.”

With its two popular sedans leading the researched and purchased lists, Edmunds.com also highlighted that Honda tied with Subaru as the brands with used models for shortest days to turn at franchised stores.

The site’s breakdown for Q1 settled this way:

Edmunds.com also offered analysis of the average days to turn at franchised dealerships by vehicle segment. While subcompact cars, compact cars, compact trucks, midsize SUVs and midsize cars turned the fastest, large crossover SUVs needed the most time to move off of dealer inventory.
