CARMEL, Ind. -

TradeRev, a mobile appraisal and auctioning app for dealers, opened its U.S. headquarters in Carmel, Ind., on Tuesday.

The company, which is part of KAR Auction Services, has been expanding globally but wanted a “centralized headquarters” for its U.S. operations.

“We are officially planting our roots in the U.S. with our new headquarters office that is reflective of our company’s collaborative and innovative work culture,” executive vice president Keith Crerar said in a news release. “With a headquarters in Canada, United Kingdom and now the United States, we can further continue on our growth trajectory globally.”

Among the amenities at the new U.S. facility are monitors showing live streams between the U.S. and Canadian headquarters, ergonomic desks and chairs and a training facility.

It is located at 12726 Hamilton Crossing Blvd., which is the same street as KAR’s headquarters.

KAR raises $243K for United Way

In other news from the parent company, KAR said last month it raised $242,884 for the United Way of Central Indiana as part of annual fundraising efforts.

The donation — which included funds raised by more than 330 Indiana-based KAR employees that were then matched by the company — was the largest single donation in KAR’s history and was 63-percent more than last year’s donation.

“As one of Indiana’s largest publicly traded companies, we are committed to supporting the communities where we live and work,” Jim Hallett, KAR chairman and chief executive officer, said in a news release. “The United Way of Central Indiana helps our friends, neighbors and coworkers build a brighter future for themselves and their families. We are proud to be part of that important mission.”

Ann Murtlow, president and CEO of the United Way of Central Indiana, said in the release:  “We are extremely grateful for the generosity of KAR Auction Services and their employees. KAR’s contributions will help us make a meaningful and lasting impact on the life and health of individuals in our community.”

KAR employees also put together 450 United Way 2-1-1 kits, which are free immediate support packages that include food, basic personal item and a handwritten note from volunteers.

The employees delivered the kits to the Salvation Army and the Salvation Army’s Women & Children’s Shelter to be distributed.
