Though Hyundai maintained its perch as the top OEM in TrueCar’s latest Performance Scorecard rankings, a pair of Big 3 automakers have made some significant inroads.

Ford and General Motors topped the list of improvers from January to February, as GM boosted its grade from a B- to an A, while Ford pushed its C grade to an A-.

Hyundai ranked No. 1 among all OEMs, earning an A+. It was followed by GM and BMW, which also got an A.

In the brand rankings, Hyundai tied Scion at the head of class, both getting A+ marks. Hyundai also tied for the lead during the previous month, sharing the honor with Kia and Scion.

Tied for second place in the most recent brand rankings were Kia, BMW and Mini, all three pulling in As.

Conversely, the lowest ranked OEM was Mazda, which got a D+ and the lowest ranked brand was Smart, which received a D-.
