MILWAUKEE and NORWOOD, Mass. -

Children, veterans and others will benefit from charity events being held this month by two groups of dealerships in their efforts to reach out to their respective communities.

First, Boucher Group Ford stores in the Wisconsin cities of Menomonee Falls, West Bend, Kenosha and Janesville announced “Go Further with Ford Night” set for Nov. 15 as a free fundraising event benefiting several local charities.

Go Further with Ford Night will serve as the finale to Random Acts of Fusion, a transmedia program hosted by American Idol host Ryan Seacrest which the company said has generated more than 12 million consumer engagements with the Ford Fusion.

Chris Flynn, general manager of Gordie Boucher Ford of West Bend, said the evening will offer participants a fun way to give back to the community.

“We all want to be part of something bigger,” Flynn said, “and Go Further with Ford Night is our way of offering consumers the chance to give back to our community, have a lot of fun, enjoy the final random act — which will test their judging skills to win a unique VIP American Idol experience — and meet the all-new Ford Fusion in person.”

Boucher said a computer with a webcam will be set up in the dealership to allow consumers to view a message from Seacrest and test their judging kills on camera. Entries will be evaluated at Ford’s program headquarters and one winner will receive a trip to Hollywood and a VIP experience with American Idol.

Charities to benefit from the event include the Wisconsin Disabled Veterans, Boys & Girls Club of West Bend, Future Farmers of America, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. For each person who attends Go Further with Ford Night, The Boucher Group will donate $10 to one of these causes, up to a total of $500 per Ford dealership.

Veterans’ Appreciation

Veterans' Appreciation Month has been declared by the Clay Family Dealerships, which include Clay Nissan of Norwood, Clay Nissan of Newton, Clay Subaru of Norwood, Clay Chevrolet of Norwood, and Clay Hyundai of Norwood.

The dealer group will hold a sales promotion throughout the month of November, commemorating Veterans Appreciation Month, and to raise funds to benefit The Fisher House Boston, a home stay for military families with a member receiving treatment at the VA hospital.

Throughout November, Clay will donate $50 for each vehicle sold at its dealership locations to The Fisher House Boston, up to a total donation of $25,000.

“Our new partnership with The Fisher House Boston is our way of thanking those who risk their lives to protect and fight for our country,” said David Clay, president of Clay Family Dealerships. “We invite the community to join us in supporting them by visiting any of our five dealerships throughout the month of November.”
