DEARBORN, Mich. -

Spotlighting the stores with the strongest levels of customer satisfaction, Ford handed out its President’s Award  to a select group of dealers earlier this winter.

The award — which was created in 1998 — recognizes dealers for excellence in providing outstanding customer service and satisfaction.  Eligibility is determined via customer survey responses regarding their sales and service satisfaction.

A description of the award from the automaker reads: “In order to achieve the President's Award, dealers must exceed customer expectations every day in every department.  The pursuit of excellence requires passion, tenacity and hard work. 

“The award salutes those top-performing Ford and Lincoln dealerships that embrace these philosophies, achieving among the highest levels of customer satisfaction – in both sales and service – in automotive retailing.”

More OEMs Recognize Leading Stores

A few other automakers have honored their top dealers recently, as well.

General Motors shared list of 2012 Dealers of the Year with Auto Remarketing  last week, honoring a group that included top-notch stores scattered throughout the U.S.

Likewise, Audi revealed its 2012 Magna Society honorees last month, giving kudos to 114 stores throughout the country. Audi also recognized 11 dealerships as 2012 Audi Elite Magna Society winners, signifying their standout performance as the best of the best
