ADESA Announces Launch of New Website for OPENLANE Customers
ADESA said Thursday it has rolled out a new website for OPENLANE customers.
The company explained that next.ADESA.com is built on OPENLANE’s technology and will replace the post-login pages of OPENLANE.com. Here’s how it works:
Once a dealer has logged into OPENLANE.com, he or she will now find a new user experience (next.ADESA.com) and can employ this platform to buy/sell vehicles.
Officials indicated that things will be “business as usual” for the ADESA.com site during the next few months.
“The only real change users will see is that ADESA DealerBlock is back and better, because of OPENLANE technology,” the company said, referring to the company’s online auction platform that offers bid-now events and buy-now pricing.
“This is the next step as we continue to move the ADESA marketplace to OPENLANE technology,” said ADESA president and chief executive officer Tom Caruso. “We have a strong team of talented people with technical expertise. They have invested a lot of time and hard work to make this happen. We will continue to work together as we develop remarketing solutions for our customers.”
OPENLANE president and CEO Peter Kelly added: “I am excited about what next.ADESA.com means for our customers. They now have all inventory channels available in one place — run lists, LiveBlock and DealerBlock— both in lane and online. We are one step closer to building a unified online venue for remarketing vehicles upstream, mid-stream and at auction.”
Over the coming months LiveBlock inventory with condition reports will be added to next.ADESA.com in a staged approach. This will be done one auction at a time.
“Then, early in 2013, next.ADESA.com will transition to ADESA.com — now fully integrated to serve vehicle remarketers both at auction and online,” the company emphasized.
ADESA also pointed out that to use next.ADESA.com, customers need a current ADESA.com or OPENLANE.com account. They can register for one or get more information by calling ADESA Customer Connection at 888-526-7326 or sending an email to email@example.com.
Those that are not registered dealers but are interested in learning more about the site can do so at adesa.com/whatsnext.
