ATLANTA -

AutoIMS recently announced the promotion of Venkat Krishnamoorthy to chief operating officer.

Krishnamoorthy most recently served as AutoIMS chief information officer, managing development, support and updates, and is recognized as a critical contributor to the success AutoIMS has enjoyed over the past 20 years since Krishnamoorthy first joined the company 16 years ago.

“Venkat understands our industry very well from the perspectives of both our auction owners/members and our commercial consignors,” AutoIMS chief executive officer Mike Broe said in a news release. “I hope you’ll join me in congratulating Venkat on his well-deserved promotion as we look forward to many more years of his leadership in the remarketing industry.”

In his new role, AutoIMS said Krishnamoorthy will oversee all aspects of the technology team and add contract management and compliance to his previous responsibilities.

“AutoIMS continues to grow in its endeavor to provide unparalleled technology and related services to our industry,” said Krishnamoorthy. “I’m more dedicated than ever in making sure AutoIMS is an employer of choice, a provider of choice, and an investment of choice,” he said.

Additionally, Krishnamoorthy is co-chair of the IARA Technology committee and participates in various Atlanta CIO groups and committees, according to AutoIMS.

At Used Car Week this fall, Krishnamoorthy and Joe Miller of AutoIMS were guests on the Auto Remarketing Podcast.
